//
Bee Keeping

I was searching for a documentary to watch one night whilst acting out some insomnia fantasy.

I found The Last Beekeeper, a harrowing look at the lives of a few bee farmers from all over America. Their livelihood and career is falling around them and they march open eyed into the abyss. I bawled my lamps out and immediately wrote the song of the same name while the credits were rolling.

I took up a beekeeping course last year and I’m now a qualified beekeeper. What I’ve learned from the selfless workers I wish I’d known years ago. I’m not necessarily a better person for it, but I at least have a better insight into my shortcomings.

They’re beautiful.
